Our History
Alberta Bible College began in the midst of the "great depression", July, 1932. The elders of the Lethbridge Church of Christ gave their minister, Charles H. Phillips, authorization to found a college and to devote the necessary time to teaching. The College was a child of vision and faith, and of the urgent need to equip servant leaders to serve the Great Commission through the church in the growing Canadian West. In 1937 the College was moved from Lethbridge to Calgary, which was more central to the province. A vacant public school building was purchased and used until 1962. In 1962, the new facilities were designed, constructed and served the College well for 35 years. In the winter of 1996–97, the College purchased, renovated and moved to a new campus. Today, the College is housed in attractive, modern facilities to serve growing enrolments and unique, expanding programs. Full time leadership has been provided by: C. H.
